Happiness begins when you embrace change!!!

Our thoughts are everything! They form our mindset, moods, attitudes and habits. 

Positive thoughts and emotions like love and appreciation trigger one set of biochemical reactions in our body; and negative thoughts and emotions like criticism and anger trigger a different set of reactions. 

Once our thoughts and emotions become habitual, they form a neural network that keeps our mindset habitually in place. 

The fastest way to change our mindset and our world is to feed our mind with the thoughts we want to create in the world.

For example, every time we feed our mind with positive thoughts, it weakens the negative thoughts and our life experiences change for the better.

Feeding the positive – weakens the negative!

The bottom line is that if you really want an abundant, happy and joyful life, you’ll do everything possible to change your mindset.

Abundance and joy can’t find their way into your life if you’re not speaking words that invoke feelings and thoughts of abundance and joy. It’s that simple!

When you finally become sick and tired of the same old unhealthy patterns that are causing you unnecessary pain and discomfort, you’ll eventually do whatever it takes to change your mind-set and shift your perception.

Even if you lose people along the way, new friends will enter your life because they’ll vibrate at the same energy level as you and your old friends will remain at their same energy level of consciousness.

Positive change happens when YOU are ready to CHANGE your mind-set! 

When this happens, EMBRACE IT and be the happy change you wish to see in the world! 

Amen to happy-healthy-positive change!!!

  3. Hi Gena. Positive changes in your mindset bring positive changes to your experience. It’s so true. It only takes 3 weeks to change any neural pathways in our brains, but in actual fact I have experienced radical changes in my life much more quickly. And it’s not as if we have to be positive every second of the day, just make it the predominant thought choice and things start to change. Think positive things 51% of the time? Totally do-able! The more you consciously choose to be happy, the easier it becomes. Great post! Andrea

      You brought up such a good/valid point that I want to expand on it even further with regards to my article today.

      Happiness begins when we embrace change and enjoy life in a way that is “balanced.” 🙂

      I certainly agree with you that it’s not as if we have to be positive every second of the day because that just isn’t realistic and/or doable.

      Negative emotion is part of our internal guidance system, which means that negative emotions are indeed valid.

      Without negative feelings, thoughts, emotions and experiences, we would never know what happiness and love and freedom really is!

      We wouldn’t have any awareness. As the saying goes; “whatever we resist persists” so it certainly isn’t healthy to deny any negative emotion.

      Once we quit resisting our negative emotions, these feelings no longer have power over us. And so, it is best to “positively” EMBRACE the negative emotion and simply accept what is.

      Embracing our life in a balanced way means that we understand how the twists and turns, the expected and unexpected, the good and the bad work “together” to create our unique purpose and life direction. To fully embrace life in all its totality, we have to face both aspects of ourselves by dealing with the tough parts rather than trying to deny or ignore them.

      Let’s not deny or suppress our negative aspects/thoughts and/or feelings — lets simply embrace them in a positive and healthy way so that they serve and contribute to our happiness and overall well-being.

  4. Thank you Gena! Spot on of course. It’s impossible to deny the thoughts and feelings we judge to be negative. Without them there is no contrast, and how could we possibly know what happiness even is, let alone truly experience it. Resistance to whatever is causes us the pain. My partner and I recently had to move and stay with friends while we find somewhere else to live. For the first couple of days, there was a lot of resisting to what was happening, and so we felt much emotional pain. Until we realised what we were doing that is. Once we let go of resisting the situation, it changed. And it changed fast. In fact, even the things we’d been viewing as negative or uncomfortable faded away. It’s been a pretty amazing experience, and I’m really excited to see what’s next. I’m really glad you liked my comment. As you know, I’ve only been blogging since October and I was a bit shy about commenting on other people’s posts. Er, not now! Love, Andrea

    WOW! What a great article and dialogue that touched my heart! Embracing change was the key to my transformation process. Always resisting, saying no along with no belief in myself. So happy those days are OVER!
    I am learning what happiness, love and freedom really is. I’m very grateful for the lessons that I have been through which give me the phrase of calling myself call myself the Goddess of Courage and Strength.
    As you say “Positive change happens when YOU are ready to CHANGE your mind-set.”

    Very similar to what inspires me. I say “You can do anything that you set your mind to” So grateful for your guidance and reminders to be positive. By “Practicing Positive Self Talk” I take action, create change and I’m much happier less negative and more positive. Thank you Gena
