Happiness Is Achieved By Re-programming Your Subconscious Mind!

healthymindfood.jpgIn order to achieve happiness we learned that friendships and a strong support system are a source of well-being.

If you really are serious about changing your life for the better, you also have to take steps to change your belief system by reprogramming your thoughts.

I’m talking about “subconscious” re-programming. 

You see, what you may not realize is that every thought you have that the subconscious mind processes, has an effect on what is “stored” and then “retained” in your subconscious mind.

Stuff like watching the news on TV, or reading the newspaper, or watching a violent TV show, or anything else that is negative, all have a role in what goes into your subconscious mind.

But if you are aware of this, you can take immediate steps to correct it by not allowing all this negative information to enter your subconscious mind.

In the same way that you nourish your body with healthy food so that it maintains good health, you must also feed and nourish your mind with healthy/positive/uplifting information to support a healthy perspective and a happy mind-set.

It is imperative that you focus your attention on information that is encouraging, uplifting and supports your well-being! 

As you go through the process of reprogramming your subconscious mind just remember that it doesn’t matter what your emotional state may be.  Be patient with yourself.

You must learn to accept whatever thoughts or emotions you may be thinking or experiencing because it takes “time” and conscious effort to reprogram your subconscious mind.

After you have put good information into your subconscious mind, don’t worry about what your present situation is.

You are exactly where you are supposed to be. Even if you have some fearful or anxious thoughts come to you, do not resist them.

Instead, acknowledge them in your conscious mind.

Accept them and you will find they will eventually melt away. It is only through resistance that they will stay and cause you more problems and anxiety.

As you begin to replace your old negative thoughts with new healthy thoughts, by feeding your mind with healthy information you will have to stay diligent in your new practice by monitoring what you read and watch on TV so that you don’t accidentally remove what you just replaced.

You don’t want to reverse the procedure.

This really is not a hard process to achieve. It just takes some work, time and determination while also having faith and belief in yourself.

Our subconscious mind does not know the difference between what is real or imagined.

It only responds to what is fed to it!

So for it to work correctly, you must be sure of what you are feeding it on a daily basis if you really want to succeed at the task of reprogramming your subconscious mind for the better!

Good stuff in equals good stuff out!!

  1. What a wonderful blog! You have some wonderful advice. We are like sponges, we soak up everything around us. We have to ween out the positive information from the negative. We will be so much happier. Happiness spreads, wouldn’t that be wonderful if everyone weened out the negative thoughts and actions of others.

      I like what you said about being like sponges as that is so TRUE!
      We constantly absorb things easily (being brainwashed, mimicking our peers, etc…) TV for example changes our perception of what’s important in the world. TV and the Media subtly influences what we think about our society, our institutions, ourselves and even our fellow man. If we do not at least “recognize” and confront the issue of TV’s and the Media’s influence on us, it does not go away; it merely becomes subliminal – affecting us without our realization. It’s best to watch shows and read information that fosters our well-being and impacts our mind in a positive way.

  4. Your blog post is one hundred times true, and we have to be conscious about what we do…and not make the bad become a habit. However, it is the picture with your quote that spoke volumes to me…”Your mind is out of shape and not your body…” That is powerful.     What’s great about the subconscious mind is that if you programmed your subconscious to think negatively. You can certainly re-program and update it’s software to be more positive. Years and years of bad programming can change. It will take time and provided that you’re open to the idea. Love today’s message!

  6. So, so true! One way that I gutted my subconscious was to shut off the news. Oh my gosh…as a recovering news junkie and talk radio junkie, I quit cold turkey back in 2002. If something truly newsworthy is going on, I’ll find out about it. Until then, I seek out GOOD news to fill myself up with by visiting blogs just like yours! 🙂

      I’m with you on the news. My husband and I gave up TV all together and now we only watch inspiring video’s or documentaries that promote well-being. The average TV show today (especially the news) is consciousness lowering, resonating in the levels of fear, danger, guilt, grief and despair.

      I’m for feeding my mind only with the good stuff!

  8. Excellent message, Gena! So true. What we allow into ourselves is what is going to come out of us. When our minds are out of shape from absorbing all the “junk food” on TV, radio, etc., it’s no wonder that the things in our lives get out of shape as well.
