Happiness & The Gratitude Mindset

grateful2.jpgYour attitude (mindset) affects the overall quality of your life and your level of happiness.

Your attitude also affects your health, your career, your relationships, your hobbies, and even your financial status.

Most people discover that when they improve their attitude/mindset, everything else in their lives seems to improve as well.

Practicing gratitude is one simple way to give yourself a painless attitude adjustment because it reduces your temptation to focus on your “negative” mind-set.

Gratitude is many things to many people, it is wonder; it is appreciation; it is looking on the bright side of a setback; it is embracing abundance; it is thanking someone in your life; it is thanking God; it is counting your blessings. It is savoring; it is not taking things for granted; it is coping; it living in the present moment.

When you feel grateful it is nearly impossible to feel frustrated, sad, empty, or disconnected.

This is because a negative mindset and a gratitude mindset cannot co-exist! They are opposites and will repel each other.

When you are genuinely grateful for a thing, person, event or situation this heightened state of energy sends out positive vibrations into the universe and the universe responds in kind.

We’ve all heard the sayings: “Whatever goes around comes around,” “You reap what you sow” and “you get what you give”.

These sayings are all expressing the same law and describing a fundamental principle of the Universe.

You get back what you send out!

God (The Infinite Intelligence) promised us that we would have abundance forever if we chose to have it.

The universe is energy. Energy is everlasting. Therefore, what we want comes from energy.

It only goes to show that the universe will never run out of anything we want.

It will always supply us with what we want when we want it.

We just have to ask with an open heart and be ready to receive with a loving, happy and grateful mindset.

Gratitude is the attitude of happiness. It always helps to begin each day by expressing something that you are grateful for, no matter how small.

  2. Gratitude can change our lives because gratitude changes the way we see the life and think about the things that are happening to us and the chances we are offred or changes we need to make,

    • Hello Joanna,

YES!! When we have a gratitude mindset our perception shifts for the better. When we are in a gratitude mindset our energy field is heightened and everything around us appears more vibrant, happy and alive.

Choosing to be grateful for our outcomes is a “choice” and a “habit” that we consciously form over time with practice. When we consciously practice being grateful for the people, situations and events in our life we eventually begin to “attract” better outcomes.

Thank you so for visiting today and commenting,
      Healthy blessings,

  3. I firmly believe we create our own realities… if you think positive, you will view your situation as such and in turn be much happier!

I believe that we create our own realities also! However, life is full of contrast (that which is unwanted). Our work is to let that contrast (that which is unwanted) “Inspire” within us what is wanted and then go in the direction of that by aligning our Will (in the form of love and gratitude) with the higher power. The purpose of life is to follow our Joy!

Healthy blessings and thank you again,
      Gena 🙂

  4. I love the gratitude attitude! I’ve found that by consciously actively looking for things to be grateful for everyday, genuine things, not scratching around, the more there is to see. All I’ve got to do is to remember to look, and say thank you! I send gratitude to myself every day in my meditation time, and I’m sure it goes a long way to making me into a predominantly happy and optimistic person. As you say, you can’t be feeling grateful and angry at the same time. And sending the gratitude vibe out into the world helps raise everyone’s happiness levels too. It’s a win-win! Great post, thanks Gena. Love, Andrea

    • Dear Andrea,

I just love everything you shared today and I especially love what you said about “sending the gratitude vibe out into the world which helps raise everyone’s happiness levels too.”

This is so very true!!! When we are feeling passionate, happy, excited and grateful about life, why not share that energy by sending love and gratitude out to the world in order to raise the collective vibration. I just love that I idea Andrea! Thank you for sharing your love and being a source of gratitude!!

With abundant love, gratitude and healthy blessings to you,
      Gena 🙂

  5. Hi Gena,

I agree with you. It’s impossible to be positive and negative at the same time. They cannot co-exist. At the end of the day you will always get back when you put out! Thanks for the great post!

Another inspiring article!! I am so grateful that I am creating the time to read every day. I’m almost caught up in your last series” LOL

I can really feel the above concept. When I am feeling grateful I am happy. What a much better way to live. I love doing my gratitude logs. When I don’t do them written I see the difference. I do my best to say who and what I am grateful for out loud. I am very grateful for you being the one to introduce me to expressing being grateful. This was probably the most powerful part of my transformation. Being in a positive mindset, being grateful eliminates the negative.

Thank you so much for sharing your blog post each day. I am grateful.
    Sending you love and light.

  7. Gena, thanks for the great post on gratitude; things seem to always be much better when we stop to take time to be grateful for the many blessings in our lives.

    • Hello Cathy!
Yes, fully agree!! There are so many blessings in our life to be thankful for if we just take the time to realize it!
Being in a state of gratitude can also be the best thing we can do for both our emotional and physical health!
Thank you so much for commenting Cathy –

      Healthy blessings,
      Gena 🙂
